Deadly Train Mishap in Uttar Pradesh Kills 40, Leaves at least 100 Injured

train accidentUttar Pradesh, Monday, May 26 – Nearly 40 people lost their lives when six cars of the Gorakhpur Express passenger train derailed after banging into a parked goods train in an eastern district of Uttar Pradesh on May 26. If reports from the close sources are to be trusted then almost 100 travelers have observed minor and major injuries post the accident.

Family members and relatives of the victims devastated as soon as news regarding train derailment spread across the nation via news channels.

Toppling dozens of passengers who were sitting on different berths in various coaches, the incident of train derailment took place near Sant Kabir Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. It was difficult for them to have an easy escape from death. With the help of a few local residents present on the spot, trapped passengers were rescued otherwise death toll could have risen further.
